Testimonials by E.U. – Amendment of Work Permit

Hello, world. Today we would like to introduce a testimonial from one of our clients, who requested to amend a valid temporary resident document – Working Holiday as its expiration date was shorter than it should have been granted.

Thank you very much for your support on this matter. I applied for a Working Holiday visa on my own, but it was granted for a shorter period than it’s supposed to be (only 9 months instead of 1 year). I was surprised because I never thought it would happen to me.

At first, I thought of redoing my application on my own, but I was also worried about my English skills, so I decided to contact a few immigration agencies to get help. However, all of them were very businesslike and the charges were out of my price range.

On the other hand, Satoko-san was very helpful. She listened to me carefully, explained everything in detail, and communicated with me promptly. The fees were reasonable and saved me a lot. Thank you very much. If I had handled it myself, it probably would have taken longer, and I am not sure if the application would have been approved… I appreciate her help. If I have any in the future, I would like to ask her again.(E.U.)”

When she first approached me, she was very anxious and worried about the validity of her Work Permit.  The application had to be made by mail.  So, we checked all the documents online and asked her to send them over by registered mail before we applied for the IRCC. The approval came in e a lot faster than we thought. We were glad that made her relieved.

The immigration officers at the airport sometimes make a mistake due to the volume of applications they have to process.  When you receive a permit, please verify the information and ask them to correct any mistakes or misprints before leaving the airport.  If you cannot fix the information on the spot, we are happy to help you.

New Arrangement for South Korea – Working Holiday

The Government of Canada has announced the signing of a new Youth Mobility Arrangement between South Korea to provide youth with more opportunities to work and travel in each country.

This new arrangement involves several improvements over the existing program. The Government of Canada anticipates implementing the following new arrangement in 2024.

  • The eligibility age will increase from 18–30 to 18–35.
  • Two new streams—International Co-op (Internship) and Young Professionals—will be added to complement the existing Working Holiday category.
  • Most youth will also have the option to participate twice in the program—each time for up to 24 months.

For more information on the new agreement, please see the link below.

This new Canada – Korea arrangement will provide more opportunities for Korean youth to gain long-term experience in Canada. We hope that in the future the same will be applied to Working Holiday for Japanese youth.

If you are interested in applying for Working Holiday or any category in IEC, please feel free to send your form from here and we will be happy to assist you.

“You are one step closer to Canada!”
