Hello World! Today we would like to share updates on travel restrictions announced by the Government of Canada on September 26, 2022. Please also check our previous article on travel restrictions from here.
Effective October 1, 2022, all COVID-19-related travel restrictions have been lifted.
Removal of all COVID-19 Travel Restrictions
Effective October 1, 2022, the following COVID-19-related restrictions have been lifted for all travellers entering Canada by land, air or sea.
- submit health information through the ArriveCAN
- provide proof of vaccination
- undergo pre- or on-arrival testing
- carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation
- monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving in Canada
- undergo health checks for travel on air and rail
- wear masks on planes and trains
Although masking is no longer required as of October 1, all travellers are still recommended to wear masks to protect their own health.
This measure also applied to cruise ships. Travellers are no longer required to have pre-board tests, be vaccinated, or use ArriveCAN.
