Increased PR filing fees – Effective Apr 30

Hello World! Time flies and we are already in May. Today we would like to provide you with information about the Canadian permanent resident application fee, which has been increased effective April 30, 2022.

If you are planning to apply for permanent residence, please be aware of the new application fee below.

Fees would increase every 2 years

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has implemented an increase in permanent residence application fees effective April 30, 2022.

IRCC increased permanent residence fees in 2020 for the first time since 2002 to account for inflation. At that time, it was announced that fees would increase every 2 years to adjust for inflation.

This change applies to permanent residence application fees and does not affect the fees for temporary visa applications such as Work Permit and Study Permit.
