Good news for International Experience Class！

Hello world! The clock has been changed back to “summer time” in Canada over the weekend. Spring has come!　

This time we would like to provide good news on the International Experience Class!

International Experience Class (IEC)

International Experience Canada (IEC) provides youth with the opportunity to travel and work in Canada.

This program has been suspended for a while in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of March 1, 2021, this program has finally resumed for some countries including Japan. This is good news for the youth!

Things to know under the travel restrictions

There are some extra things to know about this program under the current travel restrictions.

The biggest difference between this years and the past’s is that the participant needs to have a valid job offer before coming to Canada. Here is the basic procedure of this program now.

①Submit your profile online　→　②Get an Invitation to Apply　→　③Find a job and get a valid job offer from a Canadian employer →　④Apply for a Work Permit　→　⑤Get an approval (Letter of Introduction)　→　⑥Have a self-quarantine plan and prep for the pre-departure requirements

Only IEC participants with a Port of Entry Letter of Introduction and a valid job offer are eligible to travel to Canada right now. You must also be able to start your job as soon as you complete your quarantine. Check the start date on your job offer before you travel.
