◎If you plan to come to Canada after October 20, 2020:

  • Your Designated Learning Institute (DLI) must be on the list of schools that meet the COVID-19 readiness plan
  • You must hold a valid Study Permit or an approval letter for your Study Permit application

(Remarks)

  • This new rule applies not only the students from the USA but from all over the world.
  • If you’re already in Canada, you can continue studying at any DLI. If you leave Canada, you may not be able to return if your DLI doesn’t have a COVID-19 readiness plan approved by the province or territory in which you live.

Things to bring for your travel

  • A valid Study Permit or an approval letter for your Study Permit application
  • Letter of Acceptance from your DLI
  • Proof of sufficient funds such as recent bank statements

◎What you will be examined at Port of Entry

  • Purpose of your travel
  • If you have a proper plan for the mandatory 14-day quarantine
  • If you can complete the 14-day quarantine period upon arrival in Canada
    • Before you physically start going to school, if you have at least 14 days as a self-quarantine period
    • You need to be able to start the class online during the 14-day quarantine period

Please check out if your school is on the list of schools that meet the COVID-19 readiness plan.

If so, you may want to apply for a Study Permit now. Should you need any assistance from us, please send your form through here. We will get back to you within a week and start preparing an application according to the start date of your school.

We hope you will enjoy your student life in Canada soon♪
