Today, we would like to share an important notice for Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) based Work Permit applicants and employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">The Government of Canada has announced latest changes to the LMIA in the High-Wage stream to further improve protections for foreign workers and prioritize employment opportunities for Canadian workers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">Changes to the High-Wage Stream<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective October 28 and November 8, 2024, the following changes apply to LMIA applications in the High-Wage stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Increasing the Wage Threshold<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\"> November 8, 2024, the wage threshold to determine the High-Wage or Low-Wage streams will be 20% higher than the current median wage in the applicable province or territory. <\/span>This is expected to result in a $5-8 increase in the hourly wage required for job offers, depending on the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ex.)
