Today, we would like to share some of the recent immigration news that you may find interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">1. Work Permit Holders Can Study Longer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">On June 27, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced a special measure to temporarily remove the limit on the length of time Work Permit holders may study without a Study Permit. This measure is in effect for three years from June 27, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This measure helps foreign workers to have the opportunity to seek additional training and education that can help them in their careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this change, foreign workers could study while working, but only in programs of 6&nbsp;months or less. For longer programs, they had to apply for a separate study permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This temporary measure applies to those:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>who hold a valid Work Permit as of June 7, 2023, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>who have applied to renew a Work Permit on or before June 7, 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*&nbsp;If a foreign worker wishes to study longer than the duration of the Work Permit, they still need to apply for a Study Permit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, please check the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/news\/2023\/06\/new-measure-to-benefit-foreign-workers-looking-to-improve-their-skills.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/news\/2023\/06\/new-measure-to-benefit-foreign-workers-looking-to-improve-their-skills.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">2.
