Please <a href=\"https:\/\/onepacificimmigration.com\/en-CA\/2023\/02\/targeted-express-entry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>click here<\/strong><\/a> to read the previous article related to this topic!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">On May 31, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the launch of category-based selection criteria for Express Entry.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">What is category-based selection?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new Express Entry targets specific categories set by the government to meet Canadian labour market needs and economic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates in specific categories will be selected based on the following criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to communicate in an official language<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">Selected categories for 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible categories are selected based on labour market information and predictions as well as information received from&nbsp;provinces and territories, and stakeholders across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">For this year, the following categories were selected.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf <strong>French-language proficiency category:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Must have&nbsp;French-language test results that show a minimum score of 7 in all 4 language abilities on the&nbsp;Niveaux de comp\u00e9tence linguistique canadiens (NCLC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf <strong>Occupations category:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Must have accumulated, within the past 3 years, at least 6 months of continuous work experience (in Canada or abroad) in an occupation listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Healthcare occupations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) occupations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trade occupations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transport occupations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agriculture and agri-food occupations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more detailed information, please check the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/immigrate-canada\/express-entry\/submit-profile\/rounds-invitations\/category-based-selection.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/immigrate-canada\/express-entry\/submit-profile\/rounds-invitations\/category-based-selection.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>= = =<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As stated above, IRCC announced the launch of category-based selection criteria for Express Entry.
