We hope you enjoy and support our blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we would like to share information about the Open Work Permit (&#8220;OWP&#8221;) for accompanying family members of temporary foreign workers. <span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced that they will expand the eligibility for OWP to the spouses and working-age children of some Work Permit holders under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/onepacificimmigration.com\/en-CA\/2021\/11\/18\/changes-to-spousal-open-work-permit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Click here <\/strong><\/a>for a related article on spousal OWPs.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">Expand OWP to Family Members at All Skill Levels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" class=\"vk_highlighter\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\">As a temporary measure for two years beginning in January 2023, IRCC has announced that they will expand eligibility to work in Canada to spouses and working-age children of temporary foreign workers at all skill levels.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this announcement, spouses could apply for OWP only if the principal applicant is in a skilled occupation.
