Today we would like to share updates on travel restrictions announced by the Government of Canada on February 15, 2022. Please also check our previous article on travel restrictions <a href=\"https:\/\/onepacificimmigration.com\/en-CA\/2022\/01\/%e6%b8%a1%e8%88%aa%e8%a6%8f%e5%88%b6%e3%80%81%e6%9c%80%e6%96%b0%e6%83%85%e5%a0%b1-%e5%85%a5%e5%9b%bd%e8%a6%8f%e5%88%b6%e5%bc%b7%e5%8c%96\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>from here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following rules became effective as of <strong>February 28, 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-easing-arrival-test-for-vaccinated-travellers\">1. Easing Arrival Test for Vaccinated Travellers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\" class=\"vk_highlighter\">Travellers arriving in Canada from any country, who qualify as fully vaccinated, are only required arrival testing if they are randomly selected.<\/span> Travellers selected do not need to quarantine while awaiting their test results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Children under 12 years old travelling with fully vaccinated adults are exempt from quarantine. They do not need to wait 14 days before attending school, camp or daycare.<\/li><li>Unvaccinated travellers are required to test on arrival, on Day 8 and quarantine for 14 days. Effective January 15, 2022, unvaccinated foreign nationals are not permitted to enter Canada unless they meet one of the few exemptions (<a href=\"https:\/\/onepacificimmigration.com\/en-CA\/2021\/12\/significant-update-on-travel-restrictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>see related article<\/strong><\/a>).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To be considered fully vaccinated, you must:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>have received the full series of an accepted COVID-19 vaccine<\/li><li>have received your last dose at least 14 days before you enter Canada<\/li><li>upload your proof of vaccination in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/services\/diseases\/coronavirus-disease-covid-19\/arrivecan.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ArriveCAN<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepted vaccines are following 7 types: AstraZeneca\/ Bharat Biotech\/ Janssen (Johnson &amp; Johnson)\/ Moderna\/ Pfizer-BioNTech\/ Sinopharm BIBP\/ Sinovac<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please check the following link to see if you qualify as a fully vaccinated traveller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.gc.ca\/travel-covid\/travel-restrictions\/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada#determine-fully\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/travel.gc.ca\/travel-covid\/travel-restrictions\/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada#determine-fully<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">2. Accepting Rapid Antigen Test for Entry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\" class=\"vk_highlighter\">Travellers now have the following two options to meet pre-entry requirements for proof of a COVID-19 test result.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Rapid Antigen Test Result:<\/strong> taken the day prior to their scheduled flight or arrival at the land border or marine port of entry; or<\/li><li><strong>Molecular Test Result:<\/strong> taken no more than 72 hours before their scheduled flight or arrival at the land border or marine port of entry.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: <span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\" class=\"vk_highlighter\">Taking a rapid antigen test at home is not sufficient.<\/span> It must be authorized by the country in which it was purchased and must be administered by a laboratory, healthcare entity or telehealth service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-\u6e21\u822a\u524d\u691c\u67fb-\u8fc5\u901f\u6297\u539f\u691c\u67fb\u3082\u8a31\u53ef\">3. Adjusting Travel Health Notice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-color=\"#fffd6b\" style=\"background: linear-gradient(transparent 60%,rgba(255, 253, 107, 0.7) 0);\" class=\"vk_highlighter\">The Government of Canada announced to adjust its Travel Health Notice from a Level 3 to a Level 2. <\/span>This means that the Government no longer recommend avoiding travel for non-essential purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details on this update, please check the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/news\/2022\/02\/government-of-canada-lightens-border-measures-as-part-of-transition-of-the-pandemic-response.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/news\/2022\/02\/government-of-canada-lightens-border-measures-as-part-of-transition-of-the-pandemic-response.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>===<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest wave of COVID-19 driven by the Omicron variant has passed its peak in Canada.
